SES brings together many years of experience in the waste management, pyrolysis, renewable energy and power sectors. This unique blend has enabled SES to develop systems capable of producing renewable energy from mixed solid waste streams, waste vegetable oils and animal fats.

Renewable Energy from Oils and Fats

SES supply the GroDiesel Barryon Refinery for the conversion of waste oils and fats into high specification BioDiesel. SES also supply the GroGasoline AlgaFarms where a patented strain of algae is harvested to produce a high grade hydrocarbon oil suitable for directly refining into high grade petroleum and aviation fuel.

Renewable Energy from Solid Wastes

The SES BioEnergy System is capable of generating significant quantities of renewable electrical and/or gas energy from many different organic rich waste streams. The SES BioEnergy system is simple in concept and can be delivered on large scales in modular fashion with each module capable of handling around 150 tonnes per day. Front-end processing can be carried out to recover recyclable plastics prior to in-vessel composting followed by highly efficient screening to separate the biomass from the remainder of the waste stream. Recyclable metals are later recovered from the inorganic/synthetic fraction.

The SES BioEnergy system has a negative carbon footprint and can process a wide range of waste streams including:

Municipal Solid Waste
Mixed MSW streams can be rapidly processed and screened to produce a high quality BioFuel that meets European standards to qualify as a renewable fuel.

Construction and Demolition Waste
The organic fraction of C&D waste can be used to produce a BioFuel that qualifies for the production of renewable energy.

Contaminated Waste Wood
Due to the high temperature advanced thermal treatment process used in the SES BioEnergy System all manner of treated wood can be processed safely into renewable energy

Sawmill Waste/Forestry Waste
Clean wood waste of all types and sizes can be processed by the SES BioEnergy system.

Processed Food Waste
Waste from food processors can be separated into organic and inorganic fractionsand the biomass converted into BioFuel.

Sewage Sludge
Sludge can be dewatered and then mixed with
many other waste streams prior to processing. The sludge actually improves the quality of the biomass as well as increasing its energy content.

The SES BioEnergy system utilises the SES Composting MBT front-end to produce a pure biomass fuel suitable for pyrolysis.

The SES SynEnergy system utilises the SES Composting MBT front-end, to produce a high purity compost, followed by a pyrolysis stage to cleanly convert any synthetics to electrical energy.

The SES BioSynEnergy system combines the SES BioEnergy & SynEnergy front-ends to cleanly convert biomass and any synthetics to clean electrical energy.
